Your designs can be protected in Australia under the regime of the Design Act 2003. The initial period of registration for your design lasts for five years from the date of filing. Registration initially protects your design for five years from the  date of the application was filed.  The design registration can be renewed for a further five years. 

The Designs representation can be drawings, photographs, or digital images.  The representation should show an accurate and complete picture of designs and can be printed or mounted on an A4 quality white paper sheet.
